Lotrell Hileman

Lotrell Hileman died on Dec. 26, 2022, at Helia Healthcare of Energy. 

She was born on May 10, 1932, in Carrier Mills, the daughter of Lee J. Tweedy and Geneva Thompson Tweedy. 

On July 4, 1955, she married Henry Leroy Hileman in Springfield, Tenn. Together they had four children.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy (David) Stewart of Jonesboro; three sons, Carey (Sue) Hileman of Crab Orchard, Bruce (Helen) Hileman of Creal Springs and Todd (Sue) Hileman of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Joshua Hileman, Tyler Hileman, Chad and Ian Stewart, Brittney and Marrina Hileman; one sister-in-law, Lillian Tweedy; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Doris) Hileman and Terry (Marybeth) Hileman; and additional survivors, including four nieces, six nephews, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hileman retired from the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna after several years as a technician. 

After retirement, she became involved with the local chapter of AFSCME and served several years as president. She also served as a Ladies Auxiliary State Representative of the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna. She was a life member of the Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the AFSCME State Council. 

 In retirement, she enjoyed quilting and playing bingo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrier Mills.

Her family was her life, and she will be dearly missed.  Those having gone before her include her loving husband of 60 years, Henry L. Hileman; her parents; two sisters, Wylodean Tweedy and Trilby Anice Pettijohn; a brother, Thomas Z. Tweedy; grandchildren Brandon T. Jackson and Henry M. Hileman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and James Mueller, Anita and Charles Davis; and in-laws, Doyle and Eva Hinkle Hileman.

Funeral services for Lotrell Hileman will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor LaRue Parr officiating. Interment will follow in McGinnis Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to McGinnis Cemetery. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
