Marcella Tellor

Marcella Tellor, 79, of Anna, died at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at her home.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1937, in Union County, the daughter of John and Georgia Linton Smith.

She is survived by her children, Gladys (Jim) Johnson of Anna, Sharon Mansfield of Anna, Imogene (Carl) Wright of Anna, Louie (Sandra) Tellor of Jonesboro, Lisa Tellor of Anna, Mary Ann (Doug) Case of Effingham and Mitchell Tellor of Jonesboro; three brothers, John Smith of Carterville, Bob Smith of Jonesboro and Mike Smith of Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Irene Tellor of Dongola and Jane Hutchinson of Anna; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Steven Wright and Tiffaney Johnson; and two infant daughters Tammy and Linda Sue.

She was a very loving and helpful individual who put others needs before her own. Her family said she had a big heart and it showed by her caring personality.

Funeral services for Ms. Tellor were at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Paul Tirey officiating. Inurnment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery at a later date.
