Margetta C. Fox Snead

Margetta C. Fox Snead died from natural causes on Aug. 31, 2020, at her home in Ninho do Acor, Castelo Branco, Portugal, where she moved with her sons in 2017.

She was born on June 20,1928, the daughter of Samuel S. and Glenna M. Fox of Anna.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest E. Snead.

She married her high school sweetheart after graduating from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School and moved to Evansville, Ind., to raise a family. At their retirement, they moved to Savannah, Ga.

She was an active antique and junque collector, gardener, crafter and artist.

She loved traveling and taking photos with as many free copies as she had coupons for.

She loved Portugal, sitting on the porch and the neighbors of the village would drop off flowers and produce. She was adamant she understood every word they were saying. She loved to sit and look out over the olive fields and mountains. She will be truly missed.
