Martha C. Ledbetter

Martha C. Ledbetter, 82, of Ullin, died at 10:28 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022, at her residence, with her family by her side.

She was born on April 13, 1939, in Mounds, the daughter of Wayne K. and Bea Griffith Oakes.

Mrs. Ledbetter was a member of the Church of Christ in Wetaug. She was a retired secretary for the Pulaski County tax assessor’s office in Mound City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Lannes and Dickey Oakes.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jesse Ledbetter of Ullin; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Donna Ledbetter of Tamms; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Billy White of Olive Branch; two sisters, Betty Falconite of Paducah and Mary (Gary) Vaughn of Mounds; four grandchildren, Jessica Grace, Tyler Ledbetter, Ashley Misner and Keith Bigham; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge. Pastor Brent Miller officiated. Interment followed in Ullin Cemetery in Ullin.
