Mary Kay Berry Culkin

Mary Kay Berry Culkin, 72, of St. Louis, and formerly of Cairo, died at 7:03 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, at the Chestnut Rehab and Nursing Center in St. Louis.

She was born on March 22, 1948, in Cairo, the daughter of George “Jack” and  Juanita Welling Berry.

She was a retired case worker with the State of Missouri. She was a member and past officer with the VFW Post No. 1300 Auxiliary in Granite City. She was a member and past secretary of the DVA. 

She was vice president of Culkin Harbor Services. She was treasurer of the Berry Culkin Towing Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by a son, Joseph Patrick Culkin; a brother, George Berry; a sister, Sandy Brown; and her husband, William Anthony Culkin Sr., on June 21, 2013.

Survivors include her son and his loving partner, William Anthony “Bill” Culkin Jr. and Timothy G. Case, both of St. Louis; two brothers, Joe Berry of Cairo and Billy (Laura) Berry of Wickliffe; a sister, Debbie (Sam) Brown of Villa Ridge; other relatives and friends.

Friends could call Tuesday, Sept. 8, between 10 a.m. and noon at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. Funeral services followed at noon, with the Rev. James J. Ghiglione officiating. Interment followed in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
