Matthew ‘Matt’ Cole

Matthew “Matt” Cole, 45, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at his residence. 

He was born on Sept. 13, 1976, the son of Ralph Cole and Brenda Stephens. 

He married Jeanna Wrench on May 12, 2012. She survives.

Mr. Cole worked for Wright’s Auto Body as a mechanic and tow truck driver for 12 years. He loved his job working on cars. He also enjoyed fishing and participating in the demolition derby. 

He is survived by his parents; his wife, Jeanna Cole; his children, Kara Marie Clarkson of Kentucky, Tyler James Wrench of Jonesboro and Tara Ashlynn Cole of Jonesboro; two grandsons; four brothers, Michael (Holly) Cole, Mark Cole, Gene (Sarah) Cole and Jonathan Cole; two sisters, Shirley (Jay) Frankell and Michelle Cole; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

He also leaves five dogs, Spot, Budda, Mater, Chloe and Sky; and one cat, Caramel.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his stepmom, Annie Cole; an aunt, Naomi Cole; and an uncle, Ray Cole.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Jack Richardson officiating. 

A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service. 

The family asks that memorials be made to Crain Funeral Home or to the Matthew Cole’s Final Expense fund-raiser account through Facebook. 

Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.
