Mildred Faye Thomas Halterman

Mildred Faye Thomas Halterman, 87, of Norris City, and formerly of Anna, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, at Wabash Christian Village. 

She was born on Nov. 29, 1933, in Charlotte, Ark., the daughter of M. Denis Thomas and Ophia Della Lemmon Thomas. 

She married Jean C. Halterman on Dec. 25, 1951. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1982. 

She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Bunny Bread and later for Pepsi MidAmerica. 

Survivors include her daughters, Christine Miller of Anna and Candy (Mike) Huckleberry of Alhambra; her sister, Wilma Thomas of Norris City; her sister-in-law, Linda Thomas of Wichita, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. 

She will be dearly missed by her special friends in White County, Marlene Harrington and Elizabeth Cox. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wayne Thomas; and her daughter, Penny Feickert.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with John Maszaros officiating and Kellie Dillon Treece delivering the eulogy. Private interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.
