Mildred L. Pearce, 97, of Anna, died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born on Feb. 10, 1920, in Wolf Lake, the daughter of Fred and Allie Tucker.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Pearce of Anna; a brother, Bill (Mary) Tucker of Wolf Lake; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Juanita Jones; and one brother, Melvin Tucker.

She was a homemaker, and dearly loved spending time with her son. During World War II she worked at the Wolf Lake Powder Plant as a bomb maker.
