Nancy O’Daniel

Nancy O’Daniel, 73, of Anna, died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1942, in Syracuse, N.Y. She married Leon Merle O’Daniel on Nov. 2, 1962, in Syracuse. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2013.

She is survived by her son, Leon M. Jr. (Gina) O’Daniel of Renton, Wash.; one daughter, Melissa Ann (David) Franklin of Anna; five grandchildren, Meghan N. O’Daniel, Kaitlyn B. O’Daniel, Justin J. O’Daniel, Brandon M. O’Daniel and David Lee Franklin III; one great-grandchild, Malakai Mezo; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeane (Frost) Campbell; and by one son, Sean M. O’Daniel. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cobden for many years. She was a real estate agent and owned and operated O’Daniel Appraisal Company with her husband Leon.

Funeral Mass for Mrs. O’Daniel was at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cobden, with Father Uriel Salamanca officiating. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.
