Nicolas A. Romero

Nicolas A. Romero, 75, of Paducah, died at 6:25 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at his home.

He was born in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico, on Wednesday, May 28, 1947, the son of Ignacio Hurtado Romero and Maria Andrade Gonzales. 

Mr. Romero is survived by his wife of 36 years, Nicolasa Garcia Romero; his daughter, Adriana Romero (Max) of Paducah; his sisters, Maria Romero (Roberto) and Rafaela Romero, all of Salvatierra; his brothers, Miguel Romero (Frankie) of Anna and Gabriel Romero of Salvatierra; and his granddaughter, Emily Martinez. 

Mr. Romero was preceded in death by his parents; and by one brother, Ignacio Romero. 

A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah, with Father Basilio Az Cuc officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Paducah. 

Prayers were said starting at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8.
