Nina A. Merriman

Nina A. Merriman, 91, of Anna, died at 4:48 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at the River to River Community of Anna.

She was born on April 24, 1926, the daughter of John and Laura Foster Fear.

She married Robert “Bob” Merriman on June 20, 1943. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2015.

She enjoyed every minute of babysitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved getting out to eat wherever fish was served. Her family said she was full of laughter and possessed a great sense of humor. Recently she had begun attending the Pentecostal Church in Dongola.

She is survived by her daughters, Barabara (Carl) Sandlin of Anna, Sherry (Lenny) Koniak of Mt. Olive, and Sandy (John) Ondo of Sawyerville; sons Richard (Vickie) Merriman of Goreville and Rick (Sonia) Merriman of Anna; grandchildren Penny Rarrick, Peggy Duty, Paul Sandlin, Scott Merriman, Tony Merriman, Tim Merriman, Shane Merriman, Kim Gossett, Tasha Hogue, Leslie Hacker, Sara Dallas, Wayne Dallas, Jonathon Ondo, Amie Ondo and Jessica Rarrick; 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Violet Brimm of Arizona; a brother-in-law, Don (Betty) Merriman of Anna; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister Eula Ginna; infant sister Goldie; and brothers, Dewey, Louie, Lester, George, Loren and Leo Fear.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, today, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home, with Pastor John Gourley officiating. Interment will follow in Casper Cemetery near Anna.
