Nolan Logan ‘No No’ Stanard

Nolan Logan “No No” Stanard, 19, of Anna, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, in Anna.

He was born on Dec. 6, 1997, in Carbondale, the son of Douglas D. and Nora L. Hardin Stanard.

He is survived by his mother, Nora L. (Randall) Freeman of Marion; brothers Jonathon Allen of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Jacob Stanard of Morehead, Ky.; stepsisters, Stephanie Tripp of Olmsted, Ashley Freeman of Anna, Whitney Freeman (fiance, Shane Casonconi) of Benton and Randi Freeman of Cambria; grandmothers Maria Stanard of Wisconsin and Dorothy Freeman of Anna; aunts and uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Becky Lewey of Alto Pass; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

He was full of life and had a smile that would light up the darkest room. He was a social butterfly who loved helping others even before himself. He touched the lives of everyone who crossed his path and left a permanent imprint on their hearts. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family or playing PS4 with friends.

His true passion was for his art and writing his own lyrics for his songs. He used his music to fight his battle with addiction and help others in their battle to prevail. Nolan excelled in everything he did and did not take failure as an option. He loved to encourage people and also had a great way with words. He hoped to one day become a counselor for troubled youth. Nolan was truly one of a kind and knowing him was knowing a true friend, with a huge heart.

The Freeman family said they dearly appreciate the love and care shown to him by Becky Lewey and her family. They never gave up on him even when the system failed him many times. They reached out to Nolan and treated him as one of their own. He thought highly of their family and cared about them greatly.
