Patricia ‘Pat’ Fern Williams

Patricia “Pat” Fern Williams, 84, of Anna, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born on Nov. 9, 1936, in Anna, the daughter of Fern M. and Mary D. Williams Manninger. 

She married the love of her life, Robert E. Williams, on Nov. 9, 1954. He preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2000.  

She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church for many years. 

She worked most of her life in accounting. She was an assistant deputy clerk and office manager for the Village of Cobden and assistant cashier and bookkeeper for the First National Bank in Cobden. 

She ended her working career with the Union County circuit clerk’s office in the child support and accounting division. 

She is survived by daughter-in-law Kelly Williams of St. Charles, Mo.; nieces and nephews and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Williams; a son, James R. Williams; a brother, John E. Manninger; and a sister-in-law, Marion Hope Manninger.

Funeral services will be held at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna at noon Saturday, Nov. 6, with Doug Bridgeman officiating. 

Friends can call from 10 a.m. until the service hour at noon at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Anna Cemetery.  

Everyone attending will be required to wear a face covering and to observe social distancing guidelines. 

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to PAWS. Envelopes will be available at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
