Patti Anita Rheinecker

Patti Anita Rheinecker, 74, of Anna, passed away at 10:40 p.m., on Monday, April 27, 2020, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 27, 1945 in Anna to Murray and Cornelia (Poole) Choate.

Patti was a proud mother and grandmother and doted on her grandchildren any chance that she got. She attended a business college in Jacksonville and then worked at Choate Mental Health Facility in the chaplain’s office and the gatehouse for over 10 years. Patti was an avid Illini fan. She loved growing flowers and loved her cats. She also enjoyed sunbathing by the pool and dancing. She attended First Christian Church in Anna.

She is survived by her son, Scot (Connie) Rheinecker of Kannapolis, N.C.; grandchildren, Grace, Claire and Benjamin; sister, Lisa (Ken) Smith of Worden; niece, Kelly (Rob) Ruehl of Worden; nephew, Kyle Smith of Mt. Carmel; great nieces and nephews, Maddox, Brenna, Derek, and Presley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private graveside services will be held at St. John’s Cemetery. Bill Littrell will officiate.
