Paul E. Reynolds

Paul E. Reynolds, 84, of rural Cobden, died at 11:59 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

He was born on May 5, 1933, in Jonesboro, the son of Edward Harrison and Rosa Coats Reynolds.

He is survived by his best friend and mother of his children Rose Reynolds of Cobden; children Kevin (Janet) Reynolds of Cobden, Karen (Roy) Burmeister of Davisburg, Mich., and James (Ursula) Reynolds of Cobden; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Bill Reynolds of Elgin and Eddie Lee Reynolds of Jonesboro, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Eddie Reynolds and Jeff Reynolds; two sisters and two brothers.

He was a member of the Faith Community Church of Anna. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired from E.T. Simonds Construction, where he worked for many years as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Local No. 347.

Memorial services for Mr. Reynolds will be at the Faith Community Church of Anna on Thursday, today, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bon Reynolds and the Rev. Richard Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.

Graveside military rites will be conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard funeral honor team of Marion.

Friends can call after 10 a.m. and until the service hour at 11 a.m. on Thursday, today, at the Faith Community Church of Anna.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
