Robert Wayne ‘Bob’ Clark

Robert Wayne “Bob” Clark, 65, of Cobden, died at 5:16 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at his daughter’s home.

He was born on March 24, 1951, in Cobden, the son of Hubert Richard and Evelene Clutts Clark.

He married Martha “Marty” Richard on May 28, 1974, in Portsmouth, N.H.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marty Clark of Cobden; three daughters, Amy (Kenny) Penrod of Dongola, Stacy (Stevie) Turner of Cobden, and Robin Clark (Ralph Carmack) of Cobden; nine grandchildren, Jessica Goodwin (Andrew Kennedy), Samantha (Ethan) Miller, Rebecca Penrod (Josh Basler), Jamie (Chris) Raines, Brandon Turner (Kelli Pearson), Matthew and Dylan Turner, Logan and Ayden Hallett; 12 great-grandchildren, Emily, Brayden and Chelsea Goodwin, Jaxson Kennedy, Savannah and Alaina Miller, Dixie Basler, Laylah Raines, Jayden Pearson, Kelsi, Kadin and Keaton Carmack; two sisters-in-law, Linda and Lucy Clark; one brother-in-law, Charles Jackson; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald Wayne Clark; a grandson, Austin Wayne Clark-Towle; three brothers, John, Charley and Mart Clark; and one sister, Estella Jackson.

Mr. Clark served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972 to 1976 as a prison guard. He worked many years for the Village of Cobden in the maintenance department. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be at noon Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with Mike Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Marine Corps funeral honor detail.

Friends can call after 10 a.m. and until the service hour at noon at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
