Roy Wallace Frick

Roy Wallace Frick, 77, of Anna, died at 3:47 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born on May 21, 1939, in Jonesboro, the son of Homer and Carrie Ethel Earnhart Frick.

He married Patricia Joan Vaughn on Sept. 24, 1960, in Anna. She preceded him in death on Oct. 20, 2001.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Scott) Lemon of Midlothian, Texas; stepsons Rodney Peeler of Bonham, Texas, and Michael Peeler of Evansville, Ind.; two grandchildren, Brayden Lemon on Midlothian, Texas and Katy Peeler of Nacogdoches, Texas; a niece, Rita Kelley of St. Louis; a nephew, Clifford D. Frick of Jonesboro; sisters-in-law Barbara (Charles) Hileman of Evansville, Ind., and Audrey Webb of Orange, Calif.; and friend and caregiver, Imogene (Schlenker) Rodgers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Joan Frick; a brother, Earl Frick; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Frick.

He graduated from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School in 1957. He earned his electronics degree in 1992. He spent many years repairing televisions and assorted electronics. He enjoyed music and all things electronic.

He worked for Florsheim Shoe Company for 37 years. He was president of the union, which included the Boot and Shoe Workers Union and Retail Clerks and United Food and Commercial Worker Union, over a 30-year span.

He served as camp secretary for Modern Woodmen from 1964 to 1984. He was awarded the Community Service Award from Modern Woodmen in 1998.

Funeral services for Mr. Frick were at noon Monday, Nov. 21, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Randy Wheaton and Paul Tirey officiating. Interment was in the Casper Cemetery near Anna.
