Sandra Lee Hartline

Sandra Lee Hartline, 75, of Cobden, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on March 21, 1945, in Cairo, the daughter of Lawrence and Minnie Pearl Quertermous. 

She married the love of her life, Gary Dale Hartline, on Dec. 23, 1960, in Jonesboro. 

Mrs. Hartline worked at Southern Illinois University Carbondale for 25 years. She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church near Cobden. 

She loved to bake, to plant flowers and to read books. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband, Gary Dale Hartline; children Darrel (Terri) Hartline and Darla (James) Peterman; grandchildren Daryl (Ryan) Addison, Alexis Peterman, Cherokee Hartline, Sandra (Kentrell) Keys, Makynzie Peterman and Bobbi Jo Hartline; great-grandchildren Jayda Hubbs, Khelani Keys and Rylee Addison; her mother, Minnie Pearl Quertermous; and a brother, Larry Joe Quertermous. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Quertermous.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Hartline will be held Friday, Aug. 7, at 11 a.m. at the Alto Pass Cemetery, with Pastor Roberta Shultz officiating.  Everyone attending will be required to observe social distancing. 

Memorials can be made to Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery, the funeral home in Anna or can be mailed to Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, 155 Hartline, Cobden, Ill. 62920.
