Sarah “Tut” Moore (nee Hileman) at rest on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, surrounded by her family at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet. 

Born the daughter of the late Ray Hileman and Blanche Apple (nee Dillon). 

Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Moore.

Loving mother of Bobbie (Rick) Crismon and Michael H. (Janet) Moore.

Adored “Grammie Tut Tut” of Jenna (Mario) Crum, Jayme (Matt) Johnson, Joshua M. Moore and Jessica M. (Ryan) Rumchak and Great-Grandmother of Mia DeAnne and Reese Sarah Crum, Brayden Johnson, Jacob Robert Moore, Haydley Rose and Gabe Ryan Rumchak; Dear Sister of Mary “Murk” (John) Cripps, Donald (Shelvy Jean) Hileman, Dick (Helen) Hileman and the late Dan Hileman and Sister-in-Law of Susie Hileman. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A longtime member of the community Mrs. Moore retired after serving many years as the first village administrator of Channahon.

A proud homemaker who loved caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings, especially during the Christmas Season. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and wonderful neighbor. She was a true and proper lady who will be missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 6, at the Jonesboro Cemetery. Interment will immediately follow.
