Sharon M. Casey

Sharon M. Casey, 60, of Pana, died Monday, July 4, 2016, at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1955, in Anna, the daughter of William Henry and Joyce Marie Kaehler Casey.

She was raised in Palmdale, Calif., graduating from Palmdale High School, class of 1974. She then attended Shawnee Community College in Southern Illinois, before receiving her bachelor’s degree in social work from Eastern Illinois University.

She served in the U.S. Navy and had worked in Urbana, for the State of Illinois as a social worker.

She is survived by brothers William (Connie) Casey of Henderson, Ky., and Simon Casey of Kingston Springs, Tenn.; sister Carolyn (Mark) Foltz of Dongola; her stepmother, Virginia Casey of Anna; stepsister LaDonna Dismore of Anna; stepbrothers Bobby Lee of Anna and Billy Lee of Norris City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a stepsister, Dorothy Thieke.

No services are planned.

McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana is in charge of arrangements.
