Shawn Williamson

Shawn Williamson, 51, of Dongola, died at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021, at his home.

He was born on Feb. 10, 1970, in Marion, the son of Lonell and Judy Hayes Williamson.  

He married Sherry Welch. She preceded him in death on June 5, 1997.  Later, he married Jana Sivia on May 1, 2001.

He was a true handyman, a jack of all trades. He loved to listen to and to play music. He was a proud union member and worked 22 years for the Union County Highway Department. He worked for IPG in Carbondale. He was a founder of J&S Scents in Dongola. 

Survivors include his wife, Jana Williamson; sons Joseph (Angela) Kissiar, Joshua Williamson and Timothy Kissiar; a daughter, Anna Williamson; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Kimberly Johnson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who dearly loved him. He also leaves his pet, Felix.

Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents. 

A memorial service for Shawn Williamson was held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with the Rev. Larue Parr officiating.

Memorials can be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
