Stuart ‘Stewie’ Huffman

Stuart “Stewie” Huffman, 69, of Thebes, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on July 31, 1953, in Oak Hill, W. Va.,  the son of Kenneth Ray and Maxine Oberts Huffman.  

He retired from Gilster-Mary Lee and was currently working at Kirby Sawmill.  He enjoyed watching westerns.

Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Wells; two grandchildren; brothers Kenneth N. Huffman and Dennis Lee Huffman; nieces, nephews and cousins; and Kirby cousins Kathryn, Bobby, Robin, Diane, Gayla, Tony and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by an infant sister.

Funeral services were at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Bob Kirby officiating. 

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms was in charge of arrangements.
