Violet M. Dillow

Violet M. Dillow, 99, of Jonesboro, died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, in Integrity Healthcare in Anna. 

She was born on July 25, 1917, in Mill Creek, the daughter of William R. and Mary Hileman Fink. 

She married Harold Dillow on Sept. 12, 1936, in Buncombe. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2005. 

She is survived by her son, Gene (Kathern) Dillow of Jonesboro; a daughter, Patricia (Larry) McIntosh of Anna; four grandchildren, Shelly Dillow, Lane Dillow, Gary Dillow and Kim (Nathan) Menees; four great-grandchildren, Cali Dillow, Hallee Menees, Alayna Menees and Luke Menees; one great-great-grandchild, Avery; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Dillow; and three brothers, Harold Fink, Leroy Fink and Doyle Fink. 

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro for many years. 

She retired from Choate Mental Health after working 30 years as a mental health technician. She was very proud of her career as a mental health technician and enjoyed caring for her patients. 

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Dillow were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola ,with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery. 

Memorials can be made to the St. John’s Cemetery.
