Virginia Corzine

Virginia Corzine, 87, of Anna, died at 4:25 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2017.

She was born on Aug. 24, 1930, in Vergennes, the daughter of Adam and Emma Heumann Weis.

She worked as a hairdresser in Southern Illinois for 68 years. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church and a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her greatest joy in life was watching her grandchildren play sports.

She is survived by her daughters, Terry (Jay) Manus of Anna and JoElla (John) Basler of Anna; a son, Kenny Smith of Cobden; grandchildren Mike Manus, Emma Basler and Elle Basler; a sister, Emma Johnson of Cedar Falls, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Alberta Bossle and Berniece Hawk; and brothers Donald Weis and Eugene Weis.

Funeral services for Virginia Corzine were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. Mark Hasty officiating. Entombment followed at the Murdale Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.
