Wilma Palmer

Wilma Palmer, 74, of Dongola, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1948, in Anna, the daughter of William Henry and S. Kathleen Barnhart Messemore.

She was a member of the Ullin First Baptist Church. She worked as a beautician for many years at Jody’s Family Hair Styling. She was very family oriented and loved to follow her kids and grandkids in sports. 

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa (Todd) Evers, Teresa (Robert) Little and Kimberly Palmer; grandchildren Christa Evers (Alisa Page), Micheal Evers, Bradley Ralls (Jessica Duncan) and Shianna Russell (James Williams); great-grandchildren Elijah, Alex, Abigail, Aubriana, Douglas, Denver, Brantley and Braelyn; sisters Louise Casper, Sue (Perry) Wright and Agnes (Mike) Herren; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kay Sichling; and a brother, William “Buddy” Messemore. 

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. Interment followed the service at St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola.
