Pauline Jackson
Pauline Jackson, 91, of Makanda, died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Helia Healthcare in Carbondale.
She was born on March 7, 1921, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret King Lindsey in Carbondale.
She married Ernest Lee Jackson on March 16, 1938. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2001.
She had been a cook at Springmore Elementary School and the Lincoln Junior High School.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Kaye) Jackson of Elkville; a daughter, Brenda (Jerry) Adkins of Anniston, Ala.; two grandsons, Scott Jackson and Larry Neal Jackson; two granddaughters, Christie (Bruce) Jehling and Sarah (Edward) Morris; 13 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Katherine Lindsey and Evelyn Lindsey; dear friends Dorothy Chapman, Doris Vickers and Lenora Crowell; a special friend, Barbara Stearns and neighbors, Judy Withorn; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee Jackson; her parents, a twin sister, Rosine Foster; and four brothers, Roy, Everett, Carl and Raymond Lindsey.
Funeral services for Pauline Jackson were Saturday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kerry Cox officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.
Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
