Pinckneyville defeats A-J

Pinckneyville built a first quarter lead on its way to a 60-49 win over host Anna-Jonesboro in Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi Division Conference high school boys’ basketball action Friday, Dec. 11.

The Panthers were ahead 18-8 after one quarter and 27-22 at the half. Pinckneyville led 47-33 going into the final period.

Jordan Adams had 11 points to lead the Wildcats. J.R. Woodward had 10 points and 6 rebounds. Cody Livesay added 10 points. Tylor Duckworth added 7 points, Brady Wright 6 and Jesse Brimm 5.

The Wildcats were 10 of 30 in shot attempts from the floor, 3 of 9 from 3-point range and 20 of 28 from the free throw line.

A-J fell to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the league.
