Ruth I. Henard

Ruth I. Henard, 85, a resident of Jonesboro, and a native of Johnson County, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 7, 2010, at 1:15 a.m. at Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna.

Ruth was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Johnson County. She was the daughter of Lloyd Daniel Henard and Orpha May (Bost) Henard.

Survivors include two brothers, Bill and Freeda Henard of Paducah, Ky., and Dorris M. and Betty Henard of Canton; a sister, Beulah M. and Gene Spraggs of Pekin; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by three brothers, Doyle L. Henard, Dale D. Henard and Guy E. Henard; and by three sisters, Edna M. Henard Lacock, Mary A. Henard Gore and Frances E. Henard Lovett.

Ruth was employed for 47 years by Florsheim Shoe Co. in Anna, prior to her retirement in 1991. Ruth worked in the sole staining and bottom sanding departments.

Ruth was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at 12 noon at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.  The Rev. Randall Henard will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Buncombe.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
