Shawnee girls improve to 11-4

Joppa was held scoreless in the first quarter and couldn’t recover in a 64-12 loss to host Shawnee in South Egyptian Conference high school girls’ basket ball Friday, Jan. 13.
The Lady Reds pulled ahead 19-0 after one quarter and 36-4 at the half.
Taylor Ellis had 27 points to lead Shawnee. Gwen Kuehne added 16 points, Jordan Johnson 9, Sanni Ahokas and Taylor Loveless 4 apiece and Haley Murphy and Bethany McMahan 2 apiece.
Shawnee improved to 11-4 overall.
