Shirley Ann Ralls Nee Wilson

<p class="p1">Shirley Ann Ralls Nee Wilson, 78 of Jonesboro, Illinois passed away at her ancestral hopeplace on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 with family at her bedside.</p><p class="p1">She came into this world on Oct. 3, 1937. The only daughter of Earl and Mable (Treece) Wilson. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Herman (Tuffy) Ralls, they were joined in marriage on Nov. 24, 1954 in Jonesboro, Illinois.</p><p class="p1">Shirley and Tuffy have three daughters; Rhonda Ralls Boyd of Jonesboro, Illinois, Lisa Ralls O’neal (Mike) of Jonesboro, Illinois and Angela Ralls Westrich (Quenton Paul) of Kelso, Missouri.</p><p class="p1">She has five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, Nikki Landers of Jackson, Missouri. Her children are Shea and Reid, Marc and Amy Sheffer of Anna, Illinois their children, Aaron and Brooke, Terra and Kip Lyerla of Alto Pass, Illinois, their children, Gracey, Lauren, Mason and Easton.  Lindsey Huckstep and Shawn Dietrich of Bell City, Missouri their children, Jace, Jackson, Jayden Huckstep and Colton Dietrich, Brett and Amanda Huckstep of Scott City, Missouri, their children, Ava and Katy.</p><p class="p1">She was a life long resident of Union County. One of her favorite hobbies was fishing. Tuffy and Shirley spent many a day fishing with family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, yard work and making flower arrangements. She loved decorating the graves of her parents, grandparents and other family members on memorial day. About 10 years ago she took her first plane ride trip to Las Vegas. She always said what a great time she had on that trip.</p><p class="p1">Shirley and Tuffy would go out dancing in their younger days. Shirley always said Tuffy could cut a mean polka. She enjoyed listening to music. Some of her favorite songs were from the Eagles, Journey, Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart. Her favorite song was by the band U-2, “Only To Be With You”.</p><p class="p1">Per her request, no services are to be held. We the family would like to thank all of those who kept us in their prayers and gave support through this difficult time. It was greatly appreciated.
