Cobden baseball team's pitchers allow only one hit in three victories
The Cobden High School baseball team only allowed one hit in three wins last week.
Cobden 18, Marion Agape 0: Ryan Barr, Alex Remsey and Noah Franklin pitched in the win for visiting Cobden Friday, March 22.
Barr pitched 2 innings and had a walk and 4 strikeouts. Remsey pitched an inning and allowed a walk and 3 strikeouts. Franklin pitched an inning and had a walk and 3 strikeouts.
Bryce Reynolds was 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs to lead the hitting for Cobden.
Cody Wieseman was 2-for-3. Christian Goins was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Brayden Clark was 1-for1 with a three-run home run.
Brock Reynolds, Zane Nance and Barr were each 1-for-1 with an RBI apiece. Remsey was 1-for-2 with a three-run home run.
Landon Britt was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Tristan Brummer was 1-for-2. Bayden Ditterline was 1-for-3 with a home run and an RBI. Chandler West was 1-for-3.
Cobden 5, Vienna 2: West and Remsey pitched in the win for visiting Cobden Tuesday, March 19.
West pitched 3 innings and didn’t allow a hit to go with a walk and 7 strikeouts. Remsey pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed a hit to go with no walks and 4 strikeouts.
Britt was 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs to lead the hitting. Nance was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs. Ditterline and Reynolds were each 1-for-3. Wieseman was 1-for-4 with an RBI.
Cobden 11, Joppa 0: Franklin, Britt and Barr pitched in the win for host Cobden Monday, March 18.
Franklin pitched 2 innings and allowed 2 walks to go with 3 strikeouts. Britt pitched 2 innings and allowed a walk to go with 2 strikeouts. Barr pitched an inning and had no walks and 2 strikeouts.
Cobden, 3-1, is scheduled to play Friday at Carrier Mills.
