Cobden girls top Elverado, Pope County, Marion Agape
The Cobden High School girls’ basketball team won three games in recent action.
Cobden 47, Elverado 41: After falling behind early in the game, the host Appleknockers rallied to earn a South Egyptian Conference win Thursday, Jan. 16.
Abby Remsey scored 12 points to lead Cobden.
Jenna Hartline added 11 points, Katelyn Shadowens 9, Aubrey Fisher 8, Gracelyn Fisher 4, Olivia Brumleve 2 and Rhylee Sauerbrunn 1.
Cobden 57, Pope County 53: The visiting Appleknockers made a big run in the second quarter on their way to the win on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Hartline led the way for Cobden with 19 points.
Remsey added 17 points, Aubrey Fisher 12, Shadowens 5 and Rhylee Sauerbrunn and Olivia Brumleve 2 apiece.
Cobden 63, Christian Agape (Marion) 27:
Cobden pulled ahead early on its way to the win over visiting Christian Agape of Marion Monday, Jan. 13.
Hartline had 23 points to lead Cobden.
Remsey added 14 points, Shadowens 11, Brumleve 7, Aubrey Fisher 4 and Gracelyn Fisher and Ava Nance 2 apiece.
Cobden, 6-13, is scheduled to play this week in the Elverado Tournament.
