A-J baseball closes regular season with win over Century

Isaac Pender was 5-for-5 with a double, 2 stolen bases and an RBI to lead visiting Anna-Jonesboro to a 14-7 non-conference win over Century to close out regular season play Monday, May 16.

Jake Wright was 2-for-3 with 2 stolen bases and 2 RBIs. Brayden Benefield was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Collin Prather was 2-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs. Sean Plott was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Blake Klett was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

Conner Jerolds and Jade Gillis were each 1-for-1 with an RBI apiece. Bryce Osman was 1-for-3 with a stolen base. 

Osman, Plott and Prather pitched in the win. Osman pitched 5 innings and allowed 4 hits to go with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. 

Plott pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed no hits to go with 6 walks and no strikeouts. 

Prather pitched 1 1/3 innings and didn't allow a hit to go with no walks and 3 strikeouts.
