A-J girls’, boys’ golf teams combined 14-1
The Anna-Jonesboro Community High School girls’ and boys’ golf team had a combined record of 14-1 through action as of last week.
A-J Girls
The A-J girls’ golf team won twice in recent action to remain undefeated for the season.
A-J 206, Carbondale 219, Carterville 247: Marlee Smith led the Lady Wildcats with a score of 42 in the match at the Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Carbondale, Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Mary Jane Cavaness was next for A-J with 52, followed by Madi Hawk 53, Reese Reynolds 59 and Addi Hadley 64.
A-J 217, Nashville 236: Smith led A-J with 43 in the win at the Hickory Ridge course on Monday, Sept. 7.
Cavaness had 51, Hawk 61, Hadley 62 and Reynolds 70.
A-J, 7-0, is scheduled to play again Thursday, today, at Pinckneyville.
A-J Boys
The A-J boys’ golf team won a three-team match at the Union County Country Club course in Anna Thursday, Sept. 10.
A-J 158, Carterville 177, Pinckneyville 199: Luke Lasley led the Wildcats with a score of 34.
Ayden Bailey was next for A-J with 39, Timothy Plott followed with 41, Gavin Osman and Kamden Richardson had 44 apiece, Hayden Ralls 46 and Nick Hannan 48.
A-J, 7-1, is scheduled to play again Thursday, today at Pinckneyville.
