A-J/Cobden soccer posts 2-2 record in recent play
The Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden high school boys’ soccer team posted a 2-2 record in recent action.
A-J/Cobden 7, Harrisburg 0: Blake Pena scored 3 goals to lead host A-J/Cobden to the win Thursday, Oct. 3.
Carlos Valencia, Angel Olvera, Ethan Carver and Nick McGrath scored a goal apiece.
Valencia had 2 assists and Pena, Carver and Hayden Webb added an assist apiece.
Jacob Schaefer played 40 minutes in goal and had 4 saves. Nicolas Bussey played 30 minutes in goal and had 5 saves.
A-J/Cobden 3, Murphysboro 2: Steen Vaca Diez had the game winning goal for visiting A-J/Cobden Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Valencia and Romeo Godinez each scored a goal.
Maddox Thorpe and Carver had an assist apiece.
