Lady Wildcats post four straight softball victories
The Anna-Jonesboro Community High School softball team has won four games in recent action.
A-J 7, Nashville 5: Alexa Macy was 4-for-4 with a triple, double and 2 RBIs to lead the visiting Lady Wildcats to the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division win Friday, April 13.
Lexi Smith was 2-for-3 with a home run and 4 RBIs. Katie Mays and Abby Williams were each 1-for-3 with a double apiece.
Britni Helton was 1-for-3 with a triple. Tobie Treece and Payton Alsip were each 1-for-3. Jasmin Foster was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Helton was the winning pitcher, allowing 11 hits to go with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts.
A-J 23, Century 2: Macy was 3-for-3 with a home run to lead the host Lady Wildcats to the win Thursday, April 12.
Treece was 3-for-3 for A-J. Foster was 2-for-2. Helton was 3-for-4. Morgan Wendling and Mays were each 2-for-4. Smith and Abby Williams were both 1-for-2.
Wendling was the winning pitcher with a four-hitter to go with a walk and 7 strikeouts.
A-J 7, Sparta 1: Treece was 3-for-3 to lead the hitting for the visiting Lady Wildcats in the conference win Wednesday, April 11.
Macy was 2-for-4. Mays and Payton Alsip were each 1-for-2. Foster, Wendling and Smith were all 1-for-4.
Wendling was the winning pitcher with a six-hitter to go with no walks and 6 strikeouts.
A-J 9, Du Quoin 2: Treece was 3-for-3 with a home run to lead the host Lady Wildcats in the conference win Monday, April 9.
Wendling was 3-for-4 with a home run. Abby Williams was 1-for-2. Macy was 1-for-3 with a home run. Foster and Helton were both 1-for-3.
Helton was the winning pitcher with a four-hitter to go with 3 walks and 9 strikeouts.
A-J, 6-5 and 3-2 in the conference, is scheduled to play Thursday, today, at Cobden and Friday at Du Quoin.
