Parr earns MVC postseason first team honors in softball

Chandra Parr, who is a member of the University of Evansville softball team, has been selected to the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference softball first team.
The former Anna-Joneboro Community High School softball standout, who played shortstop for the Lady Wildcats, played second base for the Purple Aces.
She led the team with 23 RBIs, six home runs, two triples and scoring with 24 runs.
She had the team’s second highest batting average with .300 and also added 10 doubles.
Parr, who will be a senior next season, finished with a 3.6 grade point average and was an honorable mention in academics in the Missouri Valley Conference. She is an accounting major.
The Purple Aces finished 24-26 overall and 12-14 in the conference.
