“Massac County had three, 70-yard touchdown runs,” A-J head football coach Brett Detering said after viewing the game film. “They gave up a lot of points, but they have big play capabilities.”

Running in the backfield for Massac County are seniors David Thompson and Dawson Troutman, and junior Devin Scott.

Quarterbacking Massac County is senior Bruce Neill.

Some of the top offensive linemen are seniors Lance Reed and Mason Search and junior Austin Perjenski.

Some key defensive players are seniors Blake Baird and Preston Meadows and juniors Daylon Jackson and Elijah Farmer.

“It’s a tough match up,” Detering said. “Hopefully,   we can stay away from giving up the big play and our kids are ready to play.”
