State’s attorney reports sentencing of five persons

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds on Nov. 1 announced the following sentencing of five persons to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Jeanne L. Dalton, also known as Jeanne L. Rowan, 42, of 115 Kohler Ave., Anna, has been sentenced to five years after pleading guilty to one count of unlawful possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, a Class 1 felony.  

Dalton was arrested Aug. 16 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office regarding methamphetamine and heroin activity at the residence at 115 Kohler St.

Matthew D. McAdams, 53, of 100 Apple Ln., Alto Pass, has been sentenced to 18 months after pleading guilty to one count of obstructing justice, a Class 4 felony.  

McAdams was arrested in December 2011 after Union County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to his residence.  

Prior to his arrest he concealed firearms from deputies with the intent to avoid prosecution for illegal possession of the firearms.  

David L. Miller, 61, of 201 Church St., Jonesboro, has been sentenced to one year after pleading guilty to petition to revoke probation for the original offense of criminal trespass to a residence, a Class 4 felony, and petition to revoke conditional discharge for the original offense of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class 4 felony.  

Miller was sentenced after admitting to committing new offenses of assault and resisting a peace officer in violation of his probation.  

Miller was arrested by Jonesboro police in September after threatening two individuals with a golf club.  

Paula D. Cauble, 50,  of 5395 St. John’s Road, Dongola, has been sentenced to one year after pleading guilty to one count of retail theft, a Class 4 felony.  

Bradley W. Pind, 30, of 3020 Cobden School Rd., Cobden, has been sentenced to two years with a recommendation of impact incarceration after pleading guilty to one count of theft, a Class 3 felony.  

Pind was arrested by Union County Sheriff’s  Office deputies in September after taking an air compressor from his employer.
