State Police District 22 reports holiday enforcement results

Illinois State Police District 22 interim commander Lt. Steven Shields has released preliminary enforcement results for the 2011 holiday time period.
The period included the time from Dec. 23 through Jan. 3.
Union County is in District 22, which has its headquarters at Ullin.
A total of 358 traffic stops were reported by District 22 personnel, with the following results reported:
Speed citations, 90. Speed written warnings, 112. Motorist assists, 59. Citations, all violations, 190. Driving under the influence arrests, three.
Crashes, 20. Alcohol-related citations, 12. Seat belt citations, 13. Child restraint citations, one. Improper lane usage citations, three. Motor carrier safety inspections, 15.
