Two face meth charges
Two persons face charges in connection with the alleged discovery of a methamphetamine lab in the Vines Road area in rural Cobden.
Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds reported that Elmer J. Tellor, 53, of rural Cobden, and Sherry L. Stoner, 40, both face charges in connection with the investigation.
Tellor is charged with participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, a Class 1 felony, and possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony.
Stoner is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony.
A preliminary hearing in their cases is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in Union County Circuit Court in Jonesboro.
Edmonds said the charges follow an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Union County Drug Task Force.
