Two Union County men sentenced on meth charges

Union County State's Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds on Nov. 8 reported the sentencing of two local men on methamphetamine-related charges.

Ty W. Dalton, 41, of 115 Kohler Ave., has been sentenced to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy: unlawful participation in methamphetamine production, a Class 1 felony.

Dalton was arrested on Aug. 16 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff's Office regarding methamphetamine and heroin activity at the residence at 115 Kohler Ave. in Anna.

Johnny L. Eubanks, 30, of 775 Berryville Rd. in rural Jonesboro, has been sentenced to nine years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on one count of unlawful participation in methamphetamine production, a Class 1 felony.

Eubanks was arrested in March following an investigation by the  Union County Sheriff's Office and the Jonesboro Police Department.
