Veterans appreciation service set at Anna church

A Union County church plans to continue a tradition of honoring veterans at an upcoming program.
The Anna Nazarene Church plans to host a Veterans Appreciation Day service Sunday, Nov. 8.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. The church is located at old U.S. Highway 51 and Kirk Street in Anna.
Guest speaker is scheduled to be Dr. Kenneth Edward Saum.
Saum is a lieutenant colonel and assistant professor of clinical surgery in the division of cardiothoracic surgery with the U.S. Army Reserves Medical Corps.
Sunday morning's program also will feature a VFW color guard, scout pledges, patriotic music and members of the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School band.
