Wardell Barnhart
Mr. Wardell Barnhart, age 84 of Anna, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born December 9, 1928 in Mill Creek, the son of Cletus and Selma Clyde Dillow Barnhart. He married Alta B. Karraker on October 1, 1948 in Jonesboro. She preceded him in death on March 24, 2005.
Wardell is survived by his children, Jim (Karen) Barnhart of Sikeston, MO, Larry (Judie) Barnhart of Anna, Cathy (Jack) White of Springfield, MO, David (Kristi) Barnhart of Anna; seven grandchildren, Micheal (Wendy) Barnhart, Amy (David) Miller, Jessica Barnhart, Amanda (Craig) McClellan, Kari Barnhart, Jennifer (Gary) Flowers, Mark Barnhart; seven great grandchildren, Kara, Jayden, Noah, Julian, Logan, Lalah, and Garrison; three brothers, Wayne (Louise) Barnhart of Louisville, KY, Doyle (Charlotte) Barnhart of Chester, and Caroll (Janet) Barnhart of Cape Girardeau, MO; one brother in law, Kent Karraker of Dongola; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Alta B. Barnhart; brothers and sisters, Leroy, Weldon, and Clifton Barnhart, sisters Wanda Goodman, Shirley Keener, Cathleen Messamore, and one infant sister. Wardell was a member of the Anna Church of Christ for many years. He worked for Bunny Bread and Lewis Bakery. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Funeral services for Mr. Wardell Barnhart will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Minister Westley Hazel officiating. Interment will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
