Whites married 60 years

Robert and Shirley White of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 30, 2010.

Bob and Shirley Russell were married on Dec. 30, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. Both are graduates of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School.

The 60th anniversary celebration included a surprise visit by their grandson, Chad White; wife, Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Conner. This visit marked Bob and Shirley’s first meeting with their 4-month-old grandson, Conner.

Also visiting for the celebration were Bob and Shirley’s son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Tina.

Just days before the visit, Bob and Shirley’s daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Butch Noble, were in town for a visit.

Bob and Shirley have four children, Judy, Sheila, Robert and Sonya; one grandchild, Chad; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Conner
