Wilma E. Brown
Wilma E. Brown, 81, of Marion, died at 5:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1931, in Vienna, the daughter of Loren and Freda Hester Ford Sr.
She married James Soper on Aug. 26, 1950, in Grantsburg. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1983. She later married David Brown on Dec. 23, 1986, in Marion. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2011.
Mrs. Brown was a pharmacy technician for several different area pharmacies throughout her career, working with Throgmorton’s Drug Store in Vienna, Dave’s West Side Pharmacy in Marion, Medicare Glacier Drug in Marion and with the Wal-Mart Pharmacy in Marion.
She attended Parish Park Church in Marion. She liked shopping and giving gifts to others.
She is survived by her daughters, Kay and her husband Chuck Ehrhardt of Carterville, and Jo Ellen and her husband Butch Clarida of Creal Springs; two grandchildren, Jason Linck of Marion and Brandy Clarida and her fiance Tyler Roan of Marion; two great-grandsons, Damon and Chase Linck of Marion, and a forthcoming great-granddaughter, Bailey Jo Roan expected in February; three brothers, Robbie and his wife Marietta Ford of Vienna, Ralph and his wife Ella Marie Ford of Vienna, and Bill and his wife Ruth Ford of Anna; and two sisters, Gertrude Brown of Ozark and Betty Phillips of Eldorado.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Loren Ford Jr. and Donald Ford, nephews Tony Woning and Mark Ford and a sister-in-law Barbara Ford.
Funeral services were at noon Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna with Pastor Shorty Alsip officiating. Interment was in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery in Vienna.
