Winter Fest Luau planned at Anna school

A Winter Fest Luau is planned Saturday evening, Jan. 22, at Anna Junior High School in Anna.

The event is being sponsored by the Anna Indian Athletic Booster Club.

Proceeds will help to ensure that there will be a full season of baseball and softball for next year at the Anna school.

A luau meal is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. The menu will include a barbeque sandwich, chips, dessert and a drink for $5.

Concessions and games are planned from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets will be 25 cents each.

Some of the highlights of the evening are a bounce house, an obstacle course, and soccer and baseball games.

A luau dance for Anna Junior High School 5th grade through 8th grade students is planned from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eric Massey will be the DJ.

The dance will cost $2 per student. Parents will be asked to sign their children in and out from the dance. Concessions will be available.
