Alto Pass barbecue contest winners named

A barbecue competition was held during last weekend’s Fall Festival in Alto Pass.

Farmers State Bank earned grand champion honors for the second year in a row in the competition.

Brandon Bailey was the kids grand champion.

Chicken: Faboulous Thighs, first. Farmers State Bank, second. Dutch Ridge Baptist Church, third.

Pork butt or pork shoulder: Dutch Ridge Baptist Church, first. Farmers State Bank, second. Knut Bank, third.

Pork ribs: Farmers State Bank, first. Dutch Ridge Baptist Church, second. Knut Bank, third.

Beef brisket: Farmers State Bank, first. Dutch Ridge Baptist Church, second. Knut Bank, third.

Kids chicken: Brandon Bailey, first. Joel Murray, second. Bradley Jones, third.
