Anna church to open early learning center

Anna Heights Baptist Church in Anna plans to open an early learning center on Monday, Aug. 10.

The center is being opened as a ministry to families and will provide an opportunity for children of all ages to learn and grow in a Christian environment.

Licensed teachers will be educating and ministering to students and their families.

A Bible-based curriculum will be utilized.

“It is our desire to provide a high quality education, beyond the Illinois State Learning Standards, while maintaining rates that are affordable and competitive,” early learning center director Nikki Craig said in a news release.

The center will work with applicants to facilitate Illinois state funding for those who qualify.
