Aubrey Wilton Beene Sr

Aubrey Wilton Beene Sr., 74, of Olive Branch, died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at his residence.

Aubrey was born Dec. 20, 1935, at Alex, Okla., son of the late Robert Wilton Beene and Beulah (Killgore) Beene.

He was a Navy veteran and retired police officer from Watertown, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Aubrey W. Beene Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Helen (Macapagal) Beene, Olive Branch; a son, Robert Steven Beene, Atchison, Kan.; and a daughter, Desi-Rae Faye Beene, Tamms; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends called after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Jones Funeral Home, Tamms, and graveside funeral services followed at 11:30 a.m. at the Mound City National Cemetery with Rev. Guy Johnson officiating. Full military honors were given by Illinois National Guard Honor details and area veterans.

Jones Funeral Home in Tamms was in charge of the arrangements.
